Timeless Nuptials

Tracy and the girls arrived at Grand Gimeno at 8am sharp to get ready in the Powder Room before the big day. A personal key code unlocked the suite doors and the hair and makeup team got to work with beauty tools covering the vanity counters. While the girls were getting pampered, Ramon and his groomsmen arrived at the venue and relaxed in the Parlor while leisurely suiting up. Both the bridesmaids and groomsmen dressed in blue, the groomsmen in navy and bridesmaids in a slate color. The two groups stayed separated snacking in their suites as to not ruin the big reveal during the ceremony. Once Tracy was glammed up, she stepped out into the Foyer for a first look with her father. She approached her dad who was facing the fireplace, and with a brush of his shoulder, he turned around to see his beautiful daughter standing before him. The two hugged and Tracy’s father gave her the sweetest compliments before she went back into the Powder Room to hide away until the ceremony.

Guests arrived in the Olive Grove where the ceremony was about to take place and signed Tracy and Ramon’s guest book before taking a seat. The sound of our bubbling Spanish fountain and light chatter among guests filled the crisp November air before the music cued up. Ramon was first to make an entrance followed by the bridesmaids and groomsmen, then Tracy.  As soon as Tracy stepped out, Ramon’s eyes filled with emotion. This was their first time seeing each other and it was a moment they’ll never forget. At the head of the aisle, the bride and groom shared vows in front of family and friends, then exchanged rings. The ceremony ended with a sweet kiss and loud cheers as the newlyweds exited.

Cocktail hour remained in the Olive Grove where servers tray passed Beef Picadillo Empanadas and Polotè and the bar was mixing up delicious beverages including the bride and groom’s signature drinks, a Paloma and Mojito. While everyone mixed and mingled, the wedding party posed for group photos, then Tracy and Ramon snuck away for a few romantics before rejoining everyone at the end of cocktail hour. When the reception was ready, everyone checked the seating chart to find their assigned seat, then headed inside into our Grand Central space.

White linens topped long, family-style tables and knotted grey napkins with silver flatware on either side marked each place setting. Gold centerpieces housing arrangements of greenery and white and light pink flowers sprouted up from table to table to add pops of color. Once everyone was seated, Tracy and Ramon made their grand entrance together into their first dance, then took a seat at their head table. While family and friends shared toasts to the newlyweds, dinner was served. Tequila Lime Chicken, Barbacoa Shredded Beef, Pasilla Rice, Sweet Corn, Mexican Caesar Salad, and Jay’s Famous Tortilla Chips and Salsa were on the menu selected by the bride and groom with help from our Event Specialist, Patti. Glasses clinked in the air as guests finished their plates and were ready for dessert. A large donut display was unveiled and everyone was invited over to enjoy the delicious treats. The evening ended with everyone out on the dance floor surrounding Tracy and Ramon who were showing off their best moves.
