Neutral Floral Wedding with Surprise Rain at Grand Gimeno

Sandy and Jeffrei met in Grand Gimeno’s Courtyard for their first look while their wedding party watched from the windows of the Powder Room and Parlor. A tap on the shoulder turned Jeffrei around to see his beautiful bride standing before him. Happy tears filled both their eyes and sweet compliments were exchanged in the intimate moment. The couple posed for photos together, then headed inside for their tea ceremony where the bride and groom celebrated their families becoming one. Afterwards, the wedding party lined up for the ceremony.

Guests arrived in the Olive Grove, dropped off their cards and gifts, then took a seat. Fresh and dried white, tan, and green floral arrangements lined the aisle and decorated the ceremony backdrop. Once everyone was seated, the wedding party made their entrances, along with the rain – but that didn’t stop Sandy and Jeffrei’s love from being shared! In front of all their friends and family, the bride and groom read handwritten vows, exchanged rings, and sealed the ceremony with a kiss as the rain subsided.

The fire pit and fireplace became popular gathering areas for cocktail hour as the oven turned out Wood-Fired Meat Lovers and Mediterranean Vegetable Pizzas and Filet and Wild Mushroom Wellingtons and Crab Cakes were tray passed. The bar served up beer, wine, and the newlywed’s signature drinks, a Paloma and Low Down Greyhound. Everyone mixed and mingled until it was time to head inside for the reception.

Reception tables were topped with fresh floral centerpieces, taupe candles, and custom menus, and bordered a tan and white checkered dance floor. Sandy and Jeffrei made their grand entrance, shared their first dance, and took a seat at their sweetheart table. Pear and Walnut Salad followed by Vietnamese Braised Short Ribs and Honey Ginger Glazed Salmon with Gochujang Brussels Sprouts and Wasabi Mashed Potatoes while toasts were shared. The dinner menu was selected by the newlyweds with help from our event specialist, Arielle. After dinner, the couple cut into their wedding cake and invited everyone to the dance floor. The evening ended with last night tacos, lots of well wishes shared, photos captured and printed in the photo booth, and plenty of dancing.
