Greenery and Gold Wedding
Yasamin and her bridesmaids arrived at Grand Gimeno in matching pajamas to get ready for the big day. Each girl took turns at the beauty bar where the hair and makeup team got to work while champagne was flowing for morning mimosas. Meanwhile, Andrew and his groomsmen headed into the Parlor to suit up. Both groups got ready at their leisure, then it was time for the bride and groom’s first look. With bridesmaids and groomsmen peering out the suite windows, Yasamin walked over to Andrew. Right on cue, Andrew turned around to see his stunning bride. Tears filled his eyes and Yasamin pulled him in for a hug as everyone oohed and aahed from the sidelines. Afterwards, the wedding party headed to the Olive Grove for group pictures and then lined up for ceremony.
Bistro chairs were lined up facing towering olive trees for Andrew and Yasamin’s wedding ceremony. Floral installations marked the back and head of the aisle with flickering candles intermingling between the greenery. Guests began arriving and signed the bride and groom’s guestbook before taking a seat. Once everyone was accounted for, live acoustic guitar began playing and the wedding party made their entrances. At the head of the aisle, surrounded by their family and closest friends, Yasamin and Andrew read handwritten vows, exchanged rings, and sealed the deal with a kiss. Everyone stood and cheered as the newlyweds exited the ceremony into cocktail hour.
A vintage-inspired lounge was set up at the fireplace area and cocktail tables were scattered about. Guests snacked on Filet and Wild Mushroom Wellingtons, Crab Cakes, Fig, Goat Cheese and Mascarpone Tarts, and Kalamata Pistachio Rolls while sipping on the bride and groom’s signature cocktails, a Kentucky Mule and Margarita. Yasamin and Andrew spent cocktail hour with their guests striking up exciting conversation about their future. Just as the sun was setting, everyone was invited inside for dinner.
A champagne seating chart helped guests to their assigned seats inside where tables were draped in our Cambria linens and centerpieces of white and green filled the space. When everyone found their seats, the bride and groom made their grand entrance into their first dance, then sat at the head table for toasts. Just as toasts began, the first course of Roasted Golden Beet Salad was served. Laughs were shared all around the room as family and friends stood to share their speeches. Speeches ended as the final course came out: Classic Filet Mignon or Roasted Atlantic Salmon Fillet served with Grilled Green and White Asparagus, Heirloom Carrots, and Gourmet Mashed Potatoes. While everyone was finishing up their dinner, the newlyweds made their rounds to each table thanking everyone for coming to celebrate. Many hugs were shared, then the bride and groom cut into their 2-tiered wedding cake and invited guests to indulge in dessert with them. Once sweets were enjoyed, everyone flooded the dancefloor. The evening ended with guests dancing with the bride and groom and wishing them well before departing.
