Fall Foliage and Floral Wedding
Sarah and her bridesmaids arrived at Grand Gimeno early to get ready for the big day. In the Powder Room, makeup and hair were complete and now it was time for Sarah to slip into her wedding dress and add her finishing touches. With dress on, earrings in, and veil combed into her hair, Sarah opened the door to her bridesmaids. Gasps filled the air as she stepped into the room and every bridesmaid gave their best compliments. Meanwhile, Alex and his groomsmen arrived in the Parlor and suited up. Black suits and ties all around with the groom wearing a bow tie to set himself apart from the bunch. With both groups ready, Sarah and Alex opened handwritten notes to each other in their suites before meeting for their first look. The notes brought tears to their eyes and emotion filled their hearts. They couldn’t wait to see each other. Alex was first to be positioned in the Courtyard underneath the middle arch. Sarah came walking out next stopping just steps away from her groom. After a few deep breaths, she walked forward and tapped Alex’s shoulder. Alex turned around and after soaking in their first look moment, the two shared a warm embrace and loving words. Cheering from the bridal party could be heard on either side of the courtyard and soon the whole party was together posing for pictures in the Foyer. Before guests arrived, the group went back into the Parlor to wait for the ceremony.
A table complete with guest book and photos of the bride and groom welcomed guests into Grand Gimeno. Through the Foyer and into Grand Central guests found their seats. A twig and floral backdrop decorated the ceremony space and a unity candle display was set up to the side. Once all the wishbone chairs were filled, the ceremony began. One by one the wedding party made their way to the head of the aisle. In front of family and friends, Alex and Sarah shared vows, lit their unity candle, and exchanged rings. The the pronouncement of their officiant, the bride and groom closed the ceremony with a kiss.
Cocktail hour was held in the Olive Grove as the sun set. The delicious smell of pizza filled the air as our chefs fired up the oven. Tray passed Filet & Wild Mushroom Wellingtons and Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms made their rounds and guests were able to choose from Sweet & Salty Pancetta or Neapolitan Wood-Fired Pizza slices to snack on. The bar was serving up refreshing beverages like the newlyweds signature cocktails, a Paloma and Old Fashioned, for everyone to enjoy as they mixed and mingled outside. Before long, guests were invited inside to take a seat for dinner.
Earth-toned florals sat atop white linen covered tables inside and flickering candles created an even more romantic atmosphere. Guests found their assigned tables, then the bride and groom made their grand entrance into their first dance. Everyone clapped as the song came to an end and the newlyweds took their seat at their sweetheart table. Family and friends stood by the bride and groom to share toasts as champagne filled glasses were raised. Laughs were shared and memories were made, then dinner was served. Tri-Tip Carvery, Roasted Atlantic Salmon Fillet, Penna Alla Checca, Red Roasted Garlic Potatoes, Grilled Marinated Vegetables, and Pear & Walnut Salad was selected by the bride and groom for their guests with help from our Event Specialist, Brittany. Dinner was so good that some guests even went back for seconds. The bouquet and garter toss livened up the crowd shortly after dinner, then the couple cut their wedding cake and invited guests to enjoy dessert. The remainder of the evening was spend out on the dance floor or posing in the photo booth.
